While we always meet the standards required by governing bodies, this is just our starting point, and it is our practice to exceed many of these standards, such as Educator to child ratios, indoor and outdoor space requirements, Educator qualifications as well as standards of nutrition, safety and resources.
When my family moved to a different suburb we decided to transfer care of our 2 year old son to Discovery Croydon. Not only is the location great for us, the facilities are next level. The transition to Discovery Croydon has been seamless. From day one of orientation our son was excited to come to ‘dinosaur’ and has been running into the centre, ready to start his day, ever since. The educators are caring, dedicated and couldn’t be more understanding, and we have already made some wonderful friendships. Discovery Croydon is a phenomenal centre for early years education and our family couldn’t be happier.
My daughter began her enrolment with Discovery when she was 11 months old at Top Kids their Ringwood Centre. We moved to Discovery Croydon after 9 months due to my increasing work commitments. Both Discovery centres have worked tirelessly to ensure she is nurtured socially and emotionally and has a sound educational platform to grow with. Her growth on all these levels at Croydon has come along amazingly well and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of their parent base. Discovery has provided a high level of dedication and commitment to my family and I recommend them without hesitation to other families looking for a centre who strives for educational goals as well as the well-being and happiness of all the families in their care.
I recently enrolled my 1yo boy into care 2 days per week, at Discovery Childcare, whilst I returned to work. Being a first time Mum, I did feel a little nervous and apprehensive handing over my precious little cargo to another person to care for. However, all of these mixed feelings and emotions were pleasantly overcome by the fact the Nursery carers (Ash & Nat) and Nikki at Discovery are very welcoming, always smiling & accommodating. I highly recommend this centre to anyone looking for top quality care for their kids.
Discovery Childcare is a great place for children to play, learn and grow. Centre Manager Nikki was very supportive and worked out the best strategy to help my daughter adapt the new environment. The teachers take care of each child, constantly provide feedback to parents and work together with parents. My daughter is happy in this childcare and I can see her smile when I pick her up end of the day.

We see it as our privilege and responsibility to equip children with the tools and experiences they need to reach their full potential in life. Respect is a guiding value of our service, and we believe in the importance of maintaining respectful relationships toward each other, animals and the environment.
Our motto is “Courage and Kindness”. We seek to imbue children with the courage to believe in themselves, develop grit and do what is right even when it is difficult. It is also our goal to instill kindness in children toward themselves as well as others and to teach them that this also means having patience and making the effort to understand the views of others, even if these are not your views. We aim to promote the warmth and generosity of the soul.
We believe in leading by example and expect our Educators and team to demonstrate courage and kindness toward each other and the community.
